REALTORS® Political Action Committee

Are you doing your fair share? Today Senate Bill 3001 was DEFEATED. This bill would have permited all counties the authority to establish an affordable housing trust fund by imposing ANOTHER surcharge on the recordation of any real estate related documents. This bill represents another local fee on property owners WITHOUT PRIOR VOTER APPROVAL by referendum. The IAR OPPOSED this legislation as it would have INCREASED recording fees, which would have INCREASED the cost of transactions, and thus would have INCREASED the cost of housing. Without your support of RPAC it is challenging for IAR to protect private property rights and the real estate industry.

The REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) is your best investment in real estate. Together we can make a difference!

RPAC supports candidates who foster positions favorable to the real estate business and even more importantly to this country's property owners.

With each dollar we raise for RPAC, 70 percent is retained by the state with 30 percent going to the national level. Individual participation in the political process ensures that our REALTOR® viewpoint on industry issues is heard at all levels of government.

Through RPAC, we are investing in the future direction of this country and its laws on the local, state and national level and in the ideal of home ownership and private property rights that are the heartbeat of our business.
